This is why I have to stop buying books (see below)—I say this knowing very well that it’s not going to happen.
These are the books that recently arrived on my doorstep from The Book Depository and that I also purchased from local independent booksellers, Avid Reader and Riverbend Books (I like to balance out my support of the local guys and also take advantage of the online savings). They’re now sitting on top of the teetering piles of books that I’m absolutely dying to read. There’s just one thing holding me back—time. I read a page here and there, whenever I can—sometimes early in the morning, sometimes at lunch, sometimes late at night. Sometimes I even read while I’m cooking dinner, because I can’t not be reading a book. I only wish I could read more.
So for now, until large windows of time miraculously appear and allow me to read for as along as I want, and because I can’t possibly not buy books as soon as they’re released, my “to be read” pile grows larger and larger by the week.
Tell me what's in your "to be read" pile that you're absolutely dying to get to.

Hi Danielle!
I love that Melissa Marr cover. It's gorgeous!
Am reading your new book at the moment and loving it :) Will email you about it a little later.
A lot of dark manga, Richard Laymon books, and Zen Buddhism books! And those are just the ones that leap to mind ; )
I love Richard Laymon's books, especially Funland.
Oh man, now I have more books I have to buy and then read...
Genevive Valentine - Mechanique
Kate Milford - The Boneshaker
Philip K Dick - Time out of Joint
David Nickle - Eutopia
Sara Gruen - Water for Elephants
and so very many more
My to-read pile is terrible. I have The Historian in it, too. I'm in the middle of some Claude Lalumiere right now, and I've got a few other things I want to tear into before Readercon... next weekend. *gulp*
You're awesome! I'm so glad you're liking it. :)
Cate, The Boneshaker sounds good. Have added that to my "to buy" list.
Katey, they grow like the plague, but in a good way :)
