A Stubborn Muse
Sunday morning my muse left town in a hell of a hurry and she hasn’t returned. I struggled Sunday and yesterday to edit but there wasn’t a lot forthcoming. I got some reading done, watched a few movies, looked for inspiration, but there was none. I listened to Poison by Alice Cooper (the song that inspired the scene I was working on) about a million times on my MP3—better to listen to the same song over and over again on MP3 and not stereo, so as to avoid sudden attacks from pissed off neighbours—but even that did not lure my muse back to work. So, as NaNo begins in a few days I think I’ll turn my attention to that and return to Kiss Butterfly with a fresh eye, and hopefully my muse, in December.

Have you tried watching the music video? Maybe that will give your brain a jolt : )
Hmm, hadn't though of that one. Might head over to Youtube.
My muse is a "she" too and moody, moody.
My muse is a guy and think he has taken a break to go fishing for a while. I hope he returns soon.
Your muse will be back November 1st. :D
Here's hoping she returns. I guess all these nasty thoughts I'm having about her aren't helping.
I've been getting ready for Nano by cutting out likely characters, houses, scenery, etc., then tacking them to a large back posterboard, writing stream of consciousness descriptions and back story for each and hopefully they will all come together in my November NanoNovel.
Thanks for stopping by Perle. I do something a little similar, I like to have pictures for my characters so I can look at them as I write. Hope to see you at Nano.
