A Synopsis by Name

A couple of nights ago I got a crazy idea to write the synopsis for Kiss Butterfly. I’d originally decided to wait until after I’d finished the 2nd draft, and I don’t know whether I hit my head a few nights ago and don’t remember, but I suddenly wanted to write the synopsis. And I’m one of many who absolutely hate writing them, nasty little things that they are, but I’m actually enjoying it (hence the feeling I may have hit my head). I’ll call it a synopsis, although it doesn’t much resemble one at the moment. After maybe a hundred drafts it will start to resemble one, but for now I’m having fun with it.

Oh and I got another rejection this morning. Necrotic Tissue passed on The Death Blossoms, so that makes 5 in a week.

And, check out Aaron Polson’s excellent story Inked over at Every Day Fiction.

Thanks for the linkage, and I think writing the synopsis now is probably a good call. Sorry about the rejection, but keep at it.

Keep us up to date on the synopsis. I need to write one myself. As far as NT goes, that makes three of us this month.

I'm an NT reject too - we should start a club. :)

Any time you get the urge to work on a synopsis you should run with it. Good luck. I run screaming from the things.

I suspect you're doing your synopsis right if you're enjoying it. I hate writing them too, and they always turn out awful. Good luck on it!

I think we should definitely start a "I got rejected by NT" club and get ourselves some awesome badges. Or maybe not. Am very tired this morning, barely any sleep, so am in one of those delirious, way over-tired moods.

The synopsis is still in very rough draft form, too much like an outline, but I've got something to work with and I haven't run screaming from it yet or ripped any hair from my head, so it's all good for now. Will keep you updated though.

Had to have myself a little chuckle over the NT Rejected Me Too Club ;c)

I'm pretty sure nat would have subbed to them as well so if she joins us then we'll have a full house!

5 in a week seems unfair. I'm feeling pissed at having had 3 last week so I'm feeling almost doubly bad for you.

Good luck with the synopsis.

BT, we could also start the "I'm Pissed Off I Got Multiple Rejections In One Week Club".
