March

I know everyone says this, but where the hell did February go. Yesterday I realized I didn’t submit anything at all last month. Bad writer.

I didn’t beat myself up too much, I just got writing. Yesterday I did final edits on two short stories – The Paisley Stain which was meant to go to Shroud weeks ago and is going today and also The Pennyroyal which I’m sending to Dark Scribe. Last night I started editing The Death Blossoms so hope to send that off next week.

No work on the novel but definitely this week. On Saturday I bought paint as I want to paint my writing room this weekend as well, but I’ll see how I go. In relation to finding more time to write and the discipline thing I’ve decided to draw up a bit of a schedule. I’ve always shied away from routine, but I’m going to have a go at sticking to this schedule and hopefully make better use of my time, especially during the week after work. Will keep you posted on how this goes.

I also finished reading Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane on the weekend. That man leaves me speechless. He delivers such a good book every single time.

Yes, the months seem to be running away from us, don't they? While you may not have subbed anything in February, at least you knuckled down to some serious writing. I've never been able to stick rigidly to a schedule, at least not for very long, but best of luck with yours.

Thanks for becoming a 'follower'. Now you have to shave off all your hair and worship me :)

Best,
Steven

Good luck with March. February has always been a stressful month to me. I never seem to get half the stuff done I want to.

February is too darn short. Here's to a fabulous March. :)

Good luck with a schedule! I think if we could actually stick with one, it'd make life a whole lot easier. :)
Also, so glad you got that tooth taken care of!

I agree, here's to March. I sent The Paisley Stain off to Shroud Magazine yesterday so I'm already one step ahead of February and its only the 3rd.
